Code of Conduct

All Pepsi Center guests are expected to maintain reasonable and appropriate behavior at all times. Any behavior defying the code of conduct as determined by facility management can result in ejection and possible arrest.

Ejected guests will not receive a refund for their tickets or be compensated in any way.

Inappropriate behavior includes, but is not limited to:
  • Standing on chairs/seats
  • Drunk and disorderly conduct
  • Fighting or challenging others to fight
  • Interference with the event, or participants of the event in any way
  • Throwing, tossing, or discharging any object
  • Using profanity and/or other offensive words (verbal or written)
  • Taunting or using offensive language against the players, referees, or performers
  • Entering a seating area without the correct ticket
  • Disturbing other guests enjoyment of the event
  • Failure to comply with facility personnel
  • Violating Pepsi Center rules, regulations, and policies
  • Violating any local, state, or federal laws
Pepsi Center management reserves the right to deny entry or eject from the facility guests displaying inappropriate behavior, as determined by facility/event management.

Age Restrictions

For all Avalanche, Nuggets, Mammoth, and Crush games, guests 3 years of age and older are required to have a ticket. Guests under the age of 3 years must sit in a ticketed Guest’s lap.

Policies may vary for concerts and special events. Please contact Guest Relations for information pertaining to specific events.

Alcohol

Pepsi Center has implemented a strict alcohol policy that is designed to protect the guests and the public from alcohol related incidents.

Guests are expected to follow all laws governing the purchase, possession, and consumption of alcohol. Guests are responsible for their own drinking, and are expected to drink responsibly. It is the responsibility of the guest to ensure they have a safe, responsible means of transportation when leaving the facility.

Other applicable policies:
  • Generally, there will be a maximum limit of two alcoholic beverages sold to each guest, per purchase. Each guest may possess no more than two alcoholic beverages at any given time. This policy is subject to change at any time for any event at the discretion of facility/event management.
  • To encourage responsible drinking, Pepsi Center, Coors, and Aramark participate in the Designated Winners Program. The Designated Winners program promotes responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages and discourages drinking and driving. Guests wishing to participate may go to the kiosk located near section 102.
  • Pepsi Center management reserves the right to eject and have cited any individuals under the age of twenty one (21) who illegally purchase, possess, or consume alcohol or are visibly intoxicated. Individuals providing alcohol to those under 21 will also be ejected and subject to citation.
  • Alcohol sales cutoff varies by event. Please contact any staff within Pepsi Center for more information.
  • Guests found with alcohol brought from outside the facility will immediately be ejected.
  • No alcohol is allowed to leave the facility. Guests attempting to leave with alcohol will have the alcohol immediately confiscated.
  • Some events (for example, CHSAA sanctioned events, etc.) may be designated as ‘non-alcohol’ events. This means alcohol will not be served at these designated events. For information regarding specific event policies, please call Guest Relations at 303.405.8548.
Audio/Video Recording Devices

Audio/Video Recording devices are prohibited for all sporting events unless otherwise approved, either verbally or in writing, from facility/event management.

Audio/Video Recording is generally prohibited for all concerts and special events. Guests are expected to know the policy before coming to Pepsi Center. Pepsi Center is not responsible for items or for providing storage or safe-keeping for such items.

Bottles and Cans

Cans and glass bottles are not allowed on the concourses of Pepsi Center. All items served in a glass bottle or can are required to be poured into a plastic cup. For some events, at the discretion of management, all beverages may be poured into plastic cups. Bottle tops will be removed from all plastic bottles.

Clothing

Guests are expected to be appropriately clothed at all times, as determined by facility management.

Guests are prohibited from wearing any clothing displaying profane or offensive material. Guests may be denied entry into the facility until the profane or offensive material is no longer visible. Guests found within the facility wearing clothing displaying items that can be construed as profane or offensive by management will be asked to provide a solution where the items will no longer be displayed. If no solution can be found, or the solutions do not meet the satisfaction of management, the Guest may be ejected from the facility.

ADT Club Level Access

Access to the ADT club level varies by event. Any Guest found on the ADT club level without a proper ticket or proper authorization may be ejected from the facility.

For all events, access to the ADT club level concourse can be obtained with a ADT club level pass, however the pass does not allow guests access into the seating area. ADT Club level passes can be revoked at the discretion of facility/event management.

For the Avalanche, the ADT club level is only open to ADT club level & suite ticket holders, row one rink side ticket holders, and anyone with an official game night pass.

For the Nuggets, the ADT club level is only open to ADT club level & suite ticket holders, courtside ticket holders, and anyone with an official game night pass.

For the Mammoth, the ADT club level is only open to ADT club level & suite holders and anyone with an official game night pass.

For the Crush, the ADT club level is only open to ADT club level & suite holders and anyone with an official game night pass.

Cursing/Offensive Language/Gestures

Cursing, or the use of offensive language or gestures, is prohibited at all times. Guests cursing or using offensive language or gestures may be ejected from the facility.

Entry to Field of Play/Performance Area

Any guests attempting to, or actually entering a field of play or performance area will immediately be ejected and subject to arrest and prosecution.

Ejections


Pepsi Center management reserves the right to eject guests at their discretion (i.e. violation of facility rules, violation of laws, etc.) at any time. When a Guest is ejected, tickets will be collected from the Guest and no refund will be given.

Fighting


Any guests involved in a physical or verbal altercation are subject to ejection and arrest.

Going Down the Aisle While Puck/Ball is in Play (Hockey/Lacrosse)


For the safety of all fans, while the puck is in play during a hockey game, guests must wait at the top of the aisle until play has stopped to go to their seat. Guests refusing to comply with this rule may be ejected from the facility.

Huckstering (Selling or Peddling)

The Revised Municipal Code of the City and County of Denver prohibits huckstering (Selling or peddling) as follows:

"It shall be unlawful to offer any goods, services or thing for sale within any park, parkway, mountain park, or other recreational facility (stadium, arena, pavilion, theatre), or on the streets and sidewalks within three hundred (300) feet of the boundary of the same, without first having obtained a license or privilege so to do in the manner and pursuant to terms and conditions fixed by the mayor’s cabinet."

Intoxicated Guests

All guests of Pepsi Center are expected to drink responsibly and ensure they have a safe, responsible means of transportation before leaving the facility.

Any guest who is intoxicated before entering Pepsi Center may be denied entry to the facility.

Any Guest found intoxicated within Pepsi Center and causing a disturbance as determined by management, will be asked to leave the facility without refund and may be subject to further consequences.

Marketing

No unapproved marketing will be allowed on Pepsi Center property. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Unauthorized distribution of literature, business cards, flyers, handouts, pamphlets, other written forms, etc.
  • Chanting or shouting words associated with commercial advertising
  • Wearing clothing in a manner intended to advertise
  • Possessing signs/flags/banners/posters displaying words or pictures associated with commercial advertising
All cases are subject to review and decision by facility/event management. Guests found to be marketing as determined by management may be subject to ejection.

Guests found passing out literature or any written forms of unauthorized marketing will be asked to collect all pieces of marketing handed out and dispose of them in the trash. Any additional pieces of marketing found make the guest/marketing company subject to being billed by Pepsi Center for cleanup costs.

Guests/companies repeatedly found marketing on property may be cited with trespassing.

No Re-Entry

Pepsi Center has a No Re-Entry policy. Guests leaving the facility to smoke in a designated smoking area must have their ticket stub and a hand-stamp to obtain re-entry to the facility.

Prohibited Items

Prohibited Items include, but are not limited to:
  • Outside alcohol (see alcohol policy)
  • Bottles
  • Cans
  • Outside food/beverages
  • Weapons (i.e. knives, pepper spray, stun-guns, any concealed weapons, firearms, etc.)
  • Laser pointers/pens
  • Hard case containers
  • Pucks, balls, or other missile like objects
  • Air horns/whistles
  • Dead or live animals (except service animals)
  • Illegal drugs
  • Chemicals
  • Fireworks, smoke bombs, etc.
  • Large backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, equipment bags, etc.
  • Skateboards, roller skates, ice skates, use of roller shoes, etc.
  • Un-approved pamphlets, handouts, advertisements, etc.
  • Other items as determined by facility management
Management reserves the right to handle each occurrence on a case by case basis. Depending on the item, the guest may either be asked to remove the item from the facility or dispose of the item, or may be ejected from the facility.

All bags, jackets, and guests are subject to search upon entering Pepsi Center.

Items which have varying policies include: Cameras, video/audio recording equipment, and signs/flags/banners/posters. Please see the respective area of this policies/procedures document for more information.

Searches

For the safety and security of other guests, players, and performers, any bag brought into Pepsi Center is subject to search. Only small, personal handbags, baby bags, or other bag that fits underneath the guest’s ticketed seat will be allowed into Pepsi Center. Pepsi Center advises all guests to leave bags at home or in the guest’s car.

For all events, guests are subject to searches including, but not limited to pat downs, metal detecting hand wands, walkthrough metal detectors, and visual searches. Any guest refusing a search of any kind (either personal or bag) shall be refused entry to the facility and may not be eligible for a refund on their ticket purchase.

Season Tickets/Suite Holders

Season ticket account holders and suite ticket account holders are responsible for the actions and behaviors of guests with their tickets. Season ticket/suite accounts are subject to cancellation if policies/procedures are violated.

Shoes/Footwear

Guests are expected to wear shoes/footwear at all times. Guests not wearing appropriate footwear may be asked to put on appropriate footwear or may be ejected at management discretion.

Use of shoes with wheels, or ‘roller shoes’, within or around the facility is strictly prohibited. Roller shoes pose extreme safety dangers to those wearing them and others. Individuals using roller shoes may be warned or ejected from the facility.

Signs/Banners/Flags/Posters


Pepsi Center holds a general policy welcoming signs, flags, banners, and posters during events.

The following rules/regulations apply to all signs, flags, banners, and posters entering Pepsi Center:
  • Item may not be attached to a stick, pole, or holding device of any sort
  • Item may not obstruct facility signage
  • Item may not contain or display any profane, offensive, or obscene language and/or pictures as determined by facility/event management.
  • Item may not be, in any way, taped, attached, hung, or displayed on the facility.
  • Item may not obstruct the view of other guests or create a safety hazard as determined by facility/event management.
  • Items may not be constructed of wood, metal, or any other material that may cause harm to others.
  • Items may not contain commercial or political messages.
Some concerts/special events may have specific policies regarding signs/banners/flags/posters. Please contact Guest Relations at (303) 405-8548 for event specific information.

Smoking

Pepsi Center is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas.

Any Guest found smoking in a non-designated area will be subject to ejection.

Still Photography

Professional photographic equipment, as determined by facility management, is prohibited in the facility for all events unless otherwise approved, either verbally or in writing, from facility/event management.

Cameras are permitted for sporting events, however, flash photography is prohibited during play of any sporting event. Flash photography policies may vary for concerts and special events.

For some concerts and special events, photographic equipment may be prohibited. Guests are expected to know the policy before coming to Pepsi Center. Pepsi Center is not responsible for items or for providing storage or safe-keeping for such items.

Guests are prohibited from bringing monopods or tripods into Pepsi Center.

Suites

Guests found in suites must either have a ticket for that suite or be an invitee of the person in charge of the suite while that person is present. Anyone else in the suites may be ejected and cited for trespassing.

All suites have restrictions on the amount of people allowed in the suite. Suites exceeding capacity may be closed for the event and all guests ejected at the discretion of management.

All alcohol must be poured into a plastic cup before leaving the suite. Guests repeatedly refusing to comply may be ejected.

Pepsi Center management reserves the right to eject and have cited any individuals under the age of twenty one (21) who illegally purchase, possess, or consume alcohol or are visibly intoxicated. Individuals providing alcohol to those under 21 will also be ejected and subject to citation.

Guests purchasing alcohol in suites must consume all alcohol purchased by the end of the evening. Any alcohol not consumed may not leave the facility, and no refunds will be given.

Tailgating

Tailgating is generally prohibited in any of Pepsi Center’s parking lots. Tailgating may be allowed for some shows/events. For events where tailgating is permitted, guests must confine themselves to the parking spaces they have paid for.

Throwing Objects/Missiles

Guests found throwing any object within the facility will be ejected and subject to arrest.

Ticket Back Information


The language written on the back of each Pepsi Center issued ticket is as follows:

"Warning: Despite enhanced spectator shielding measures, pucks, balls, players, or other objects/people still may fly into the spectator area. Serious injury can occur. Stay alert at all times including during warm-up and after play stops. If struck, immediately ask usher for directions to medical station.

Holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior to, during or after the event. Holder voluntarily agrees that the management, facility, league, participants, participating clubs, and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employees are expressly released by holder from any claims arising from such causes.

In the event of a cancellation or rescheduling of the applicable event, management shall not be required to issue a refund provided that you are given the right to attend a rescheduled performance of the same event or to exchange this ticket for a ticket, comparable in price and location, to another similar event as designated by management except as otherwise provided by law.

Management reserves the right, without the refund of any portion of the ticket purchase price, to refuse admission to or eject any person whose conduct is deemed by management to violate the code of conduct. Breach of the code of conduct will automatically terminate this license.

Unlawful resale or attempted resale is grounds for seizure and cancellation without compensation. Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources may be lost, stolen or counterfeit, and if so are void. Pepsi Center is not responsible for any inconvenience caused by unauthorized duplication. In the event duplicate copies appear, the facility reserves the right to refuse entry to all ticket holders.

Holder acknowledges that the event may be broadcast or otherwise publicized, and hereby grants permission to utilize holder’s image or likeness in connection with any live or recorded transmission or reproduction of such event.

There is no re-entry into the facility. This ticket cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed, and is valid only for the event and seat for which it is issued. This ticket is not redeemable for cash. It is unlawful to reproduce this ticket in any form.

Tickets

Guests must possess a valid ticket at all times and are only allowed to sit in their ticketed seats. Guests unable to produce a ticket may be ejected from the facility without refund.

Guests who attempt to ‘sneak’ into the facility may be arrested and cited for evasion of admission.

Water Bottles/Bottles or Lids in General

Pepsi Center’s policy on water bottles is empty water bottles with the lids removed and thrown away may be brought into Pepsi Center. Any guest found with a water bottle with a lid on it may be asked to throw away the lid. Guests refusing to comply may be ejected from the facility.

Within Pepsi Center, all bottles sold will have the lids removed and immediately thrown away by the seller to prevent the bottles from being used as a missile.
